While in WWE, Jon Moxley, formerly known as Dean Ambrose, wrestled in stretchy jeans and a tank top throughout his singles run after The Shield broke up in 2014.
After his WWE contract ran out, wrestling fans got to see the reemergence of his Moxley persona, giving him a fresh start after being held back creatively and with that, new ring gear.
Making his debut with All Elite Wrestling at Double or Nothing in Las Vegas in May, Moxley came out in black pants, no shirt, and a black vest with ‘Mox’ spray-painted on the back of it.
However, it wasn’t until his New Japan debut against Juice Robinson, his first match after his WWE career, that we got confirmation about which look Moxley would sport. Going back to his roots with The Shield, Moxley came through the crowd, and was wearing a simplistic pair of black trunks, knee pads, and black boots.
Moxley defeated Robinson to become the fifth IWGP U.S. Champion, a title formerly won by the likes of Kenny Omega, Jay White, and Cody Rhodes. There’s little doubt that Moxley is currently the most popular figure in pro wrestling as he’s dominating the discussion on social media and his t-shirt is the No. 1 selling shirt on Pro Wrestling Tees.
